Prayer Ministry
We can envision a church that is confident in its mission, and powerful in its effect, due to the prayers of its people. The prayers of the church provide a solid spiritual foundation for every activity, and an avenue to minister to every type of human need. Prayers can be on behalf of church leaders, believers and for the lost. We can anticipate the development of various prayer tools and activities that will project this awesome outflow of ministry.
We can picture a room dedicated for prayer within the church facility. Its décor provides a comfortable, yet challenging place to pray. The room is full of helpful resources about prayer, such as, videotapes, audiocassettes, books, maps, and lists of requests for prayer. The room often resounds with the voices of those in prayer. We can envision church members at computers in their homes accessing the church’s web page to read prayer requests sent via the Internet.
We expect an ever increasing number of believers at prayer seminars and teaching sessions, who are excited and confident, as they choose to pick up the mantle of a disciplined prayer life. These believers will be desperate for God, passionate for the lost and in earnest to minister to the needs of the believer.
One of the results of prayer will be seen in the continual influx of new believers. Church members and leaders will rejoice in the fellowship enjoyed in prayer. They will give thanks, testimony and praise to God for answered prayer. It will be common for church services to be saturated with the presence of God, consumed in worship and rich in the acts of the Holy Spirit.
In the next five years, we can clearly envision an increasing army of earnestly praying Christians. With increasing faith and power, they will build on to the church’s spiritual foundation, and prepare the next advance of the kingdom of God into the community and into the lives of believers.
Our Prayer Ministry gives you the opportunity to share needs with those committed to intercede.
