Men's Ministry

The motto for Men’s Ministry is "A ministry to men and a ministry of men." Our desire is to provide a nurturing environment, centered on the Word of God, that will assist and equip men to assume their God-given roles in every aspect: within the family, church, community, and marketplace.

We clearly envision men eagerly coming together for prayer, Bible studies, learning institutes, seminars, conferences, workshops, retreats, social events, and times of fellowship. These opportunities will allow each man to understand his identity, to realize his God given gifts, abilities, and talents and how to effectively utilize them. Likewise, a better understanding of how men, in general, respond and react, and plan to correct flaws within the male character will be derived. Men will have opportunities to learn how to work together for the common good, rather than striving to compete for individual recognition. Men will gain an awareness of the godly roles and examples they are to exhibit, thus demonstrating qualities that can be modeled to others within their family, church, community, and marketplace.

We clearly envision men desirous of being models of the character of Christ, while, patterning themselves after godly examples within the family, church, community, and marketplace. As men realize their worth to God, they will continue the ongoing process of training in godly principles, and develop the motivation to share those benefits with others. Although they may feel that their lives are on display, with God’s help, each man will develop an understanding that his life can be showcased to effect positive life changing results within the observers.

We clearly envision men taking a lead in effective ministry to men and their families, the church, the community, and the marketplace. They will provide strong, healthy models of husbands, fathers, dating partners, sons, and brothers. Men will lead effective corporate works within the church and the community. High visibility in areas of ministry will set the stage to foster valid male involvement.

We clearly envision men making themselves available, as needed, to assist ministries within the congregation and within the community. The concept of "community" will be apparent, both from a global perspective and locally. Although some ministry areas may not require the direct involvement of men, their presence will foster an atmosphere of security. For instance, the presence of male representatives, highly visible, as women are meeting during evening sessions and escorting them to their cars will display care and concern to onlookers.

We clearly envision men eager to greet, meet, relate to, and to be of help, encouragement, and service to men who attend our church as a regular attendee or as a visitor. These men will extend themselves beyond the mere greeting of people, to the sincere establishment of honorable relationships that will assist individuals in fully developing their God-given potential. Relationship building in this manner will produce win-win experiences for all involved.

We clearly envision men eager to greet, meet, relate to, and to be of help, encouragement, and service to men within the community. To heighten the effectiveness of the evangelistic ministry, men will be visible and effective communicators in the process. Following Christ's teaching to become 'fishers of men', our men will actively seek opportunities to introduce others to the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the major thrusts of Men’s Ministry is the effective communication and transmission of God’s truths by internalizing the message of the gospel.

We clearly envision men seeking to restore those who have fallen away from their faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. God’s Word requires that we be ready to forgive and bring back into proper relationship and fellowship those who have erred, and/or have strayed from their commitment to the Lord. Our men will be on the cutting edge of this process. Men who are integrating solid biblical principles into their daily lives, and who are provided with a platform from which to exercise their knowledge and abilities are equipped as able ministers.

This is the goal of Men's Ministry.
